UK / AGILITYPR.NEWS / January 15, 2020 / AAK puts multi-menu versatility centre stage with vegan whipping cream and
chef-inspired sauces at Casual Dining Show 2020
AAK Foodservice will unveil its new Whirl Plant-based Whipping Cream and Lion fruit coulis in a showcase of its products at the Casual Dining Show on 25-26 March 2020 at the ExCeL in London.
Multi-Menu Versatility is the theme for AAK Foodservice, who will demonstrate how its Lion and Whirl brands can help caterers and chefs meet numerous consumer demands and food trends with just a core collection of products.
With a selection of dishes to sample at Stand D45, the team will introduce a number of new products. New Whirl Plant-based Whipping Cream harnesses AAK’s innovation in oils and fats, as the company’s ingredients and knowledge are also at the heart of many branded plant-based products that have helped drive the consumer vegan movement.
AAK’s development chefs have also prepared recipes to demonstrate how Whirl Butter Alternative, Unsalted Vegan Whirl and Garlic & Herb Whirl can be used in a wide range of dishes across the menu.
Lion, the sauce visionary brand, will turn the spotlight on its new premium Inspired by Chefs range of products, many of which are handmade in small batches at AAK’s newly acquired production facility, AAK BD Foods in Hastings. The collection includes premium dressings, Indian sauces, chutneys, fruit compotes and decorating coulis, and are the result of AAK’s development chefs’ work with restaurant chefs to create bespoke, high-quality products.
A sampling menu will give visitors a taste of ways to use Lion’s sauces, including the World Flavours collection of sauces inspired by global cuisines, the Piri Piri range and the new plant-based range of classic dressings and mayos.
Offering inspiration for every day part, the products can be used hot or cold, as dips, dressings, glazes, marinades or cooking sauces. Each one is created to deliver the signature flavours that define some of today’s most popular food trends.
Global Marketing Director Rachel Neale said: “AAK Foodservice offers multi menu versatility with a suite of brands and products that work perfectly together. At a time when everything is rising – costs, consumer expectations and the variety of cuisines operators have to offer – our range offers multiple solutions with just a few core products.
“Innovative products from Lion and Whirl can help create dishes for every part of the menu, making it simpler than ever to provide vegan and plant-based options, street food, world cuisines and traditional favourites.”
