Vitalscan uses a Philips 1.5T BlueSeal MRI scanner with a 70cm-wide opening. The MRI room has adjustable ambient lighting and, where the examination allows, patients can watch Netflix or YouTube, listen to music or the radio during their scan. The centre also has private consultation spaces.

The clinical expertise behind the service is equally important. MRI scans are reviewed by consultant radiologists, with patients receiving a written report and access to their images to share with their GP or specialist if required. The team includes radiologists with specialist expertise in different areas of imaging, including gastrointestinal radiology.
