Fast, fully automatic, and safe determination of the oxidation stability of liquid fuels with RapidOxy 100 Fuel
Anton Paar has launched RapidOxy 100 Fuel, a space-saving stand-alone instrument for determining the oxidation stability of liquid fuels in full compliance with ASTM D7525, ASTM D7545, and EN 16091. It delivers results with excellent reproducibility and repeatability for spark ignition fuels, all kinds of diesel fuels (from B0 to B100) and heating oils. Test times are a fraction of those required by other oxidation stability methods.
RapidOxy 100 Fuel, the only RSSOT (Rapid Small Scale Oxidation Tester) on the market, features a unique and fully automatic method. The extremely fast measuring principle provides the induction period of liquid fuels, which is an indication of the oxidation and storage stability. The patented gold-plated aluminum test chamber means the instrument is perfectly suitable for oxidation stability testing of fuels. Highly accurate temperature control and fully automatic measurement mean that excellent precision of the test results is guaranteed.
RapidOxy 100 Fuel is easy to use, a test is started immediately by placing 5 mL of fuel directly in the test chamber. There are preset programs for gasoline, diesel fuel (B0), diesel fuel with blend/FAME (B1–B99) or pure biodiesel (B100). All tests are in full compliance with the standard methods.
Having finished the test, the test chamber is cleaned quickly and easily using only soft paper tissue and ethanol. No other chemicals are needed and no other waste than the sample occurs.
Rapidoxy 100 Fuel features a space-saving, modern design with a large 5.7” capacitive touchscreen. The small footprint of only 20 cm by 40 cm means the RapidOxy 100 Fuel is the perfectly sized benchtop instrument.
