Mortgage Broker Gary Das helps Self Employed Get on the Property Ladder

An Essex entrepreneur and Mortgage Broker who has made his name helping the self-employed get on the property ladder has been nominated for a major UK business award.

Gary Das, 38, who is founder of Chelmsford-based ‘Active Mortgage’ brokers has set up a new business academy for fellow brokers to improve the UK Mortgage Industry and this month launches a brand new ‘Mortgage Pro Podcast’. He is up for the ‘Best Small Broker’ gong at the National Mortgage Strategy Awards.

The winners will be announced on March 26th at a glittering awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

The National Mortgage Strategy Awards are regarded as the benchmark of excellence in the mortgage industry. Das and his fellow nominees underwent a rigorous judging process, including gruelling interviews by industry professionals.

Das, who is also a business coach and speaker was born and brought up in Essex and is a married father of three. He founded Active Mortgage in 2006 and is the author of Amazon bestseller ‘The Self Employed Mortgage Guide’.

He niched his business in 2015 after he struggled to get a mortgage himself because he and his wife were both self-employed. Since then he has helped over 200 business owners and self-employed people secure more than £54m in property finance and mortgages.
