China Updates Standard for Products with Filling Materials

BAAR, SWITZERLAND / AGILITYPR.NEWS / March 25, 2026 / SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published SafeGuardS 039.26, highlighting China’s release of an updated National Mandatory Standard – GB 18383-2025 General technical requirements for products with filling materials.


Issued by the Standardization Administration of China as part of the country’s No. 32 announcement on approved national standards in 2025, the new standard replaces GB 18383-2007.


The updated standard defines revised terms and definitions, enhanced requirement specifications, updated sampling and judgment rules and clearer labeling requirements, along with descriptions of the corresponding test methods.


The new standard comes into effect on July 1, 2026.
