Covers Timber & Builders Merchants in Alresford has donated materials to the Alresford Rotary Club to help refurbish three of its planters.

The planters were installed by the club in 2000 at three of the four entrances to the town. In 2018, due to deterioration of the planters, the club took the decision to replace them. Covers donated all materials required to renovate the planters including topsoil.

Jon McKenzie, Youth Office of Alresford Rotary Club, said:

“We are extremely grateful to Covers for its generosity and delighted with our new planters. We hope our residents and visitors will enjoy seeing them for many years to come.”

Michael Sheath, Depot Manager of Covers Alresford, added:

“When we were approached by the Alresford Rotary Club we didn’t hesitate to help. We were pleased to be part of the project and see the finished results. The new planters look fantastic.”
