Deer Tick and Delta Spirit Announce Co-Headlining Tour
USA / AGILITYPR.NEWS / June 07, 2021 / Americana-infused blues warriors Deer Tick have joined forces with edgy roots rockers Delta Spirit for the 2021 ‘FriendSHIP Tour’. It has been an anxious wait to get back out on the road but live music is truly alive and well and what better pair to deliver a high-energy, adrenaline soaked hard-rocking live performance than these two. The tour kicks off on the West Coast on October 30th and concludes with two back-to-back shows at the famous Webster Hall in New York on November 22 & 23 (Full tour dates below).

With 8 studio albums under their belt and a massive following of loyal fans, Deer Tick has been making energetic, edgy, Americana-infused rock with a twist of blues since 2007’s standout War Elephant. Known for their tender lyrics layered over catchy garage-rock guitar riffs and folk-rooted tunes, they’ve got over 80,000,000 streams on Spotify alone and have performed at major festivals including Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits Music Festival. In 2018 they were the subject of a feature film documentary, “Straight into the Storm” (distributed by Abramorama), which captured the wild spirit of a hard-rocking band who shot to cult-stardom early in their career. 2021 will be a big year for the band as they’ve got several projects in the works, sure to please devotees who are anxiously ready for more.

After six years of separation Delta Spirit returned in 202o with their record ‘What Is There’, the band's first release with New West Records. The creative sphere of frontman Matthew Logan Vasquez, who also released three solo records during the band's hiatus has kept the project busier than ever and 2021 shows no signs of slowing down. What is There was recorded at Sonic Ranch just outside of El Paso, Texas and self-produced by the group. Mixing was handled by studio veteran Tchad Blake, known for his award-winning work for Sheryl Crow and The Black Keys. The latest installment has been met with thriving reviews from Billboard, Consequence of Sound, American Songwriter and SPIN just to name a few.
