FOOD, FUN AND FURRY FRIENDS: PAWS IN THE PARK PRESENTED BY AMAZON RETURNS AUGUST 15
TORONTO, ON / AGILITYPR.NEWS / August 10, 2026 / Toronto Humane Society is inviting the community to celebrate the human-animal bond at Paws in the Park Presented by Amazon, its largest event of the year, taking place on Saturday, August 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 11 River Street. The free to attend, family-friendly and pet-friendly event will feature adoptable animals, shopping, activities, local food and drink vendors, and interactive experiences designed to bring people and pets together.
Visitors can meet adoptable pets at the Adoption Fair, watch or participate in the Canine Agility Park, and connect with Toronto Humane Society veterinarians, trainers and behaviour specialists during Ask-an-Expert sessions. The event also features a DJ, Vendor Village, a Kids Zone with games, story time and arts and crafts, plus food and beverages available through Event Experience Bundles. A misting station will also help keep people and pets cool throughout the day.

Ahead of the event, the CN Tower will light up green after sunset on Friday, August 14, in celebration of Paws in the Park Presented by Amazon. While the Tower's preprogrammed light shows will take place for five minutes at the top and bottom of every hour, the CN Tower will be illuminated green throughout the remainder of the evening, helping spotlight Toronto Humane Society's signature event.
Beyond a day of family fun, Paws in the Park Presented by Amazon marks the finale of Pledge for Paws, Toronto Humane Society's summer fundraising campaign supporting animals as they begin their next chapter. More than 30 dogs and cats have arrived at Toronto Humane Society this summer through transfers from partner shelters, with more expected in the coming weeks as the organization continues to support animals in need of finding their next home. As communities in Northern Ontario continue to respond to this summer's wildfires, Toronto Humane Society remains prepared to assist shelter partners with additional animal transfers if needed.
Funds raised through this campaign help provide shelter, veterinary care, enrichment and behavioural support to animals as they prepare for their next chapter.
All donations made through Pledge for Paws will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $40,000, thanks to the generous support of Amazon, Evolve ETFs and Petline Insurance, doubling every donor's impact.
