BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA / AGILITYPR.NEWS / January 28, 2020 / Lakers' Strength and Conditioning Coach Gunnar Peterson and FitFighter to Host Unprecedented Event Honoring LA Fire Chiefs in Beverly Hills

FitFighter and Lakers' strength and conditioning coach Gunnar Peterson are hosting an unprecedented collaboration on Thursday, Jan. 30 to bring together the best in the fitness and fire businesses to honor Los Angeles firefighters and celebrate firefighter health and wellness. 

This event will be the bright light in a dark week in LA, honoring LA County Fire Chiefs. 

Peterson and the FitFighter team will present the inaugural Annual Award for Firefighter Fitness Leadership, a new endowment established to support firefighter health and wellness. The award will be presented to Chief Derek Alkonis, Division Chief, Air and Wildland, Los Angeles County Fire Department.

During his nearly 30 year career in the US Fire Service, Chief Alkonis has championed firefighter fitness. He has been a leader in implementing resources and programs supporting the safety and wellness of Los Angeles firefighters. 

Gunnar Peterson is strength and conditioning coach for the Los Angeles Lakers, trainer to Hollywood celebrities, and mastermind behind performance gym design worldwide including recently Dream Hotels in LA.
