H&H held its first physical auction in seven months on 14th October 2020 at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford followed by its seventh Live Auction Online of 2020 a week later. At the museum the oldest lot on offer was a 1915 Willys Overland Model 83 Tourer which looked like it had rolled straight out of the American Mid-West. A handsome Edwardian Tourer powered by a 4 litre, four-cylinder engine, the Willys sold for an above estimate £10,580.

The most expensive lot to change hands was the magnificent 1934 Lagonda M45 Rapide Tourer. One of only 53 such cars made, it sold for an above estimate £195,500 despite wearing replica coachwork.
A supercar of another - altogether more recent – era, the 2016 Jaguar F-Type Project 7 had covered a mere 650 miles from new and sold for an above estimate £101,250.

Among the most keenly contested lots was the 1921 NUT motorcycle restoration project. Hailing from Newcastle-upon-Tyne and off the road since 1957, it drew much Continental interest but was finally bought by a UK enthusiast for £14,950 (almost triple its bottom estimate).

A reminder of how the other half live, or at least shop, the 1969 Rolls-Royce Phantom VI was part of a fleet of nine (four Phantom VIs and five Phantom Vs) that Mohammed Al-Fayed amassed whilst he owned Harrods. All but one of the limousines were re-liveried in the world-famous luxury store’s particular shade of green and kitted out with cocktail cabinets, fridges, TVs and multiple phones etc. The sale car had been entered from a private museum and sold for an above estimate £86,250.

Consigned from the same source and known as ‘The Lady Constance’, the 2004/06 Athena Class Elegance Steam Launch was modelled on a 1914 design. Accompanied by its own purpose-built trailer, the 26ft 4in vessel can accommodate six in considerable style and was bought by an ex-pat in the Far East for £32,200
