Small-town songwriting connoisseur and conversational charmer Jos Morningstar is back with his new single “Sanitarium Lovesick Blues #4702”. A popular song amongst fans, Morningstar relinquished the opportunity to lay it down. The special release depicts an album format which will include 3 different variations of the song. The Final Studio Version, a Live “Alt” Studio Version and the Live Demo Recording giving fans a unique experience into the tune.

“I don’t consider myself to be anything but a songwriter, and I only use the term “songwriter” because I don’t know what else to call it. The truth is, I don’t know where these songs come from, but it’s my belief that they come from somewhere else and I’m just lucky enough to be holding the pen when they fall from the ether. I have no idea what this song is about, I have no idea what “Sanitarium Lovesick Blues” means, and I have no idea why it’s number 4,702 or where the other 4,701 are. For some reason I felt compelled to give the song that title, even though it really doesn’t have any connection to the lyric. I don’t know who “Anna” is, I don't know why she's running, I really can’t give any type of meaning to the song whatsoever. But I wrote it and I dig it, and hopefully you will too”

This track follows up his previous single "We Were There" which was released back in October, along with a more recent collaboration album with Billy Don Burns titled "Brothers of the Music" which was released in December.

Josh will continue his headline tour throughout 2021 as venues look to welcome back live entertainment and ease capacity restrictions. Morningstar has also opened the door for many fans by adding a new breed of "micro shows" to his schedule, which he calls "Coffee and Cigarettes"
