LOUISVILLE’S FAMILY SCHOLAR HOUSE ANNOUNCES AMERICORPS VISTA OPPORTUNITIES Positions now available with Kentucky’s Homes For All VISTA Program

LOUISVILLE, KY / AGILITYPR.NEWS / July 22, 2020 / Louisville’s Family Scholar House (FSH), in conjunction with AmeriCorps VISTA, is currently seeking dedicated, compassionate individuals to build capacity of organizations working to end poverty in communities across the Commonwealth with Kentucky’s Homes for All VISTA Program. The program requires a one-year 2020-21 term of service with terms beginning this month and also in August.


“These positions provide wonderful learning experiences for those looking to get involved in the non-profit world, with minimal background in the field,” states Kate Bracket, FSH Vice President of Strategic Initiatives.


Benefits include:

  • Annual living allowance of $12,490 (gross)
  • End of Service Stipend for Educational Award
  • Childcare Assistance (if eligible)
  • Non-Compete Eligibility
  • Training & Professional Development

ABOUT FAMILY SCHOLAR HOUSE

Born from Project Women, the nonprofit organization was established in 1995 by representatives of six orders of nuns. As Family Scholar House, its name reflects a bigger, broader mission, and comprehensive, holistic services for disadvantaged single parents, their children and foster alumni. ABOUT HOMES FOR ALL VISTA PROGRAM

Headquartered in Frankfort, Kentucky, the Homes for All VISTA Program is run by the Homeless and Housing Coalition of Kentucky (HHCK). Its primary focus is to address the affordable housing crisis through the development, repair, and provision of housing and homeless services. VISTA members help build the capacity of organizations to provide better and more effective services to people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. VISTA members make up a movement focused on social justice and economic equality.
