Important COLLECTION OF rally plates, many from the cars of Roger Clark, Timo Makinen, Hannu Mikkola & Tony Pond amongst others for sale with

H&H Classics

H&H Classics is currently selling famous rally plates that once adorned the cars of some of the greatest names in rallying. The timed online sale is now underway and finishes on September 8th.

These rally plates include items from rallies all over Europe and further afield in cars driven by the likes of Roger Clark, Timo Makinen, Hannu Mikkola and Tony Pond amongst others. Price estimates range from £150 to £250.

The collection of rally plates is offered from the estate of Jim Porter, the well-known rallying official and co-driver to some of the biggest names of the era.

Adam Sykes of H&H Automobilia Department, says: “Whilst rally plates make great garage display items, we'd love to think that at least one from this collection could be reunited with the car it was originally fitted to.”

“This is the largest collection of rallying ephemera we have had the pleasure of bringing to market. With a large proportion to be offered without reserve, it really does present an almost unrepeatable opportunity for collectors globally.”

Lot 412 is the only plate that was fitted to an overall winning vehicle, the Ford Escort of Roger Clark / Jim Porter.
