SGS Highlights Updates to Ivory Coast PCA Labeling Requirements

BAAR, SWITZERLAND / AGILITYPR.NEWS / March 18, 2026 / SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published an article advising of the Ivory Coast’s update to its product conformity assessment program (C171) rules on labeling.


These important revisions aim to ensure compliance with applicable standards and technical regulations while making them clearer for consumers and professionals.


The updates apply to foodstuffs, cosmetics, tobacco, tobacco products and pesticides. Separate requirements are listed for industrial and professional products. There are also rules for new electric lamps, air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers imported into the Ivory Coast.


Exporters of products not yet subject to the mandatory requirements are advised to begin aligning to ensure continuing compliance.
