SGS announces new PVoC contract in Tanzania
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND / AGILITYPR.NEWS / June 13, 2025 / SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, is delighted to announce a new three-year contract with the Tanzanian Bureau of Standards (TBS) to provide pre-export verification (PVoC) services.
Helping to reduce substandard products and safeguarding consumer health, SGS’s role also includes the promotion of fair competition for local manufacturers.
The article emphasizes that regulated products arriving in Tanzania without a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) are subject to financial penalties. This requirement remains in place under the new contract, and failure to adhere to the regulations will result in a 15% cost, insurance and freight (CIF) fine.
