UNITED KINGDOM / AGILITYPR.NEWS / April 15, 2021 / In spite of the Covid pandemic causing a great deal of market uncertainty, Horsham house prices have only dipped very slightly in the past 12 months, easing just -0.8% in the last year with the average property price remaining at a robust £375,233.
This is considerably higher than the wider national average of £266,532, with the area also outperforming West Sussex, where the average house price sits at £340,299.
But it’s not just the regular market where Horsham is performing well and research recently undertaken by local Keller Williams UK estate agent, Sam Akbay, paints an interesting picture that is sure to tickle the tastebuds of those that are aficionados of so-called ‘property porn’.
In particular, Akbay’s analysis reveals the home with the highest price paid in the last 12 months and the Horsham street which has the highest average value of property sold.
Data sourced from the Land Registry Price Paid Records (March 2020 to February 2021 - latest data available)
When you consider the wider average Horsham property price, the Stable Court sale is a significant multiple of the typical local house price – over nine times the average.
Sam Akbay, an experienced estate agent covering the Horsham area for Keller Williams UK, commented
“The property market here is surprisingly buoyant and this research demonstrates as such. Of course, each neighbourhood is different in price terms and desirability and so there’s a huge mix of activity and value across the board. Those that are curious as to whether their property has increased in value or indeed wish to see if their own street is on course to top the table as the priciest this year, should get a professional valuation from a local estate agent that truly knows the area.
Last year was a real mixed bag for the market and 2021 is bound to be too as we recover from the Covid crisis and start to get back to normality. Uncertainty prevails, but certainly with a hint of positivity.” he adds.
If you are thinking of moving, in good markets and bad, then proper, experienced advice is essential.
