Western Specialty Contractors Replaces Roof on Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, MO / AGILITYPR.NEWS / January 03, 2024 / Western Specialty Contractors – KC Roofing Branch recently replaced the roof on the 4-Star Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, MO. Over the last six years, Western has replaced approx. 426,000 sq. ft. of roofing on facilities throughout the casino’s complex.
Located at 3200 North Ameristar Drive, the hotel’s management team contracted with Western in November 2023 to remove the hotel’s aging EPDM roof system down to the concrete deck and replace it with a TPO single-ply roofing membrane.
TPO membranes are ideal for flat commercial roofs due to their durability, energy efficiency, long-term performance, color options and heat/UV resistance.
Western’s experts replaced the hotel’s old roof with a full-tapered insulation roof with a ½-inch coverboard and a full adhered 60 mil, tan-colored TPO membrane manufactured by Carlisle. The new roof also featured an APEEL factory-applied protective film that could be easily removed once the project was complete to eliminate the need to clean the roof when installation was complete, therefore saving time and money on the project.
Western was able to complete the project within budget and on schedule in 15 days.
